Resumen:
For the most part the selections in this anthology were made by Don Armando Oscar Pacheco. Personalities, as such, mattered little. Merit, and the ultímate aim of the work, have been joremost in the compilers J minds. Preface, introduction, arrangements, and chronological order, perhaps detrimentally so, were done by the artificer of the Anglicizations. In a volume of this nature it is impossible not to slight someone either by omission or inclusión. Not every poet could be given a place. That would hardly be advisable. Those included will not be altogether satisfied with the specimens of their productions taken. The dilemma is unavoidable.
