Resumen:
The doyen of the yellow press of the United States, "The New York Times”, sent its corresponded Burks, with the special mission of libelling and slandering the Uominican Republic. When we published these articles in this newspaper, it was possible to see with what care he carried out his shameful task. We were able to see the kind of witnesses he found, the lies he t'jld, and to appreciate the sinuous and slippery ways of the reptile used by him to make his declarations. Everything which is perfectly normal in every country of the world, took on a suspicious and tyrannical character when passing through his typewriter. The libeller considered Trujillo’s great works to be useless. He covered up anything he felt like covering up, added whatever he liked, and the whole country is a
witness to his lies.
