Sir: A banner year with proütable crops for export, making for the bost cconomic 12 months under normal conditions in the history of Santo Domingo, is reflected in the annual report of the Dominican customs receiverehip, calendar year 1927, the twenty-first fiscal period, respectfully submitted herewith, which embraces the usual tabulated statements, narrativo matter, and summary of commercial statistics of the foreign-trade movement, in compliance with the prescribed
governing regulations. An intensified agricultural development, encouraged by the Government, very naturally aided in the favorable situation outlined.
