Resumen:
Since the American occupation in the island the frontier customs Service has been of immeasurable valué in disarming the natives along the Haitian border. This has been the principal work, inasmuch as very little smuggling has been attempted. In view of the change in character of the work of the organization, the receivership has recommended that the Service be incorporated into the Dominican National Guard, which has been agreed to by the military government. (See schedule No. 13 for the expenses of the frontier customs
Service during 1917.)
