Sir: The annual report of the Dominican customs receivership for the calendar jrear 1930 (the twenty-fourth fiscal pcriod) is respectfuller submitted herewith. It comprises also a complete compilation of statistical data whieh form a sunbmary of commerce of the foreign
trade of the year. For a full appreciation of the trying year through which the Dominican Republic passed tliere must be taken into account the several more important contributorv factors each of which played its part in the notable trade decline reflcctcd in the diminution of customs revenue collections of first concern to the receivership.
